BioConnect DE’s vision is to serve as a regional catalyst for the next generation of life science talent at every level, partnering with industry, educators, and government to address current and future employer needs.
Our Mission
BioConnect DE was created to accelerate the engagement, training, and delivery of a robust life science workforce. We equip Delawareans of all backgrounds with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in life science careers. BioConnect DE is meant to serve as a cornerstone of Delaware’s workforce development, enhance our local economic development, and contribute to the growth and sustainability of the regional life sciences community.
Our History
Founded in 2023, BioConnect DE is a nonprofit organization operating under the umbrella of the Delaware Life Science Center for Education and Training, a registered 501(c)(3). It emerged from a collaboration among industry leaders, educational institutions, and government partners. DelawareBio played a key role in shaping this initiative, recognizing both an opportunity and an unmet need for life sciences workforce development in Delaware. Inspired by a landmark report on the urgent need for a skilled workforce to support the state’s growing life sciences sector, BioConnect DE equips individuals with the expertise to thrive in life science careers.
BioConnect DE creates career opportunities that are easy to access and open to everyone, with a strong focus on removing barriers and ensuring inclusivity. As workforce needs evolve, we are committed to building an innovative, collaborative ecosystem that empowers individuals and drives Delaware’s life sciences industry forward.
